The double heat wall, advanced hearth as well as the use of modern materials have turned this wood burner into a contemporary showcase of ingenuity. Any traditional wood burners and other enamelled or tiled heaters still being used for nostalgic reasons are no comparison.
The particular combustion system of the Tigchel heater, tested by TNO (Nederlandse Organisatie voor toegepast-natuurwetenschappelijk Onderzoek = Netherlands Organization for Applied Scientific Research) and the SPF (Sveriges Provnings- och Forskningsinstitut = Swedish Test and Research Institute) in Sweden* with excellent test results is therefore very different from any ordinary heater. Even the amount of wood needed is two or three times less than what other heaters require. Smoke nuisance from the Tigchel heater is a thing of the past, making it an ideal heater for populated areas. And the modular design allows the heater to be moved.
Thanks to its long life low maintenance and savings on gas consumption for central heating systems, the Tigchel heater will pay for itself within ten years (and the cosy atmosphere is thrown in for free). The Tigchel heater is also available as a complete building kit. That means even more savings. And what can be nicer than freshly baked bread and oven dishes? That is the reason why a built-in oven comes as an optional extra. Another option is a heat exchanger with an easy connection to an existing (solar) hot water cylinder. This will give you the bulk of your hot water supply.
