Government welcomes views on Energy Efficiency Directive
Posted on: August 4 2011
European Commission Proposal: Energy Efficiency Directive –On the 22nd June, 2011, the European Commission published a draft Directive, provisionally known as the “Energy Efficiency Directive”
DECC is currently working with other Government departments, the devolved administrations, and stakeholders to consider the implications of the Directive’s proposals. The negotiation of the Directive will commence in the Autumn.
Whilst the negotiation timeline precludes a full consultation process, we would nonetheless welcome any informal views, comments, or observations from the public or stakeholders on the content of the proposed Directive and its annexes. We are especially interested in receiving views with regards to the costs and benefits associated with the proposals.
Whilst views are welcome until the end of September 2011, early responses throughout the summer would be gratefully received.
* Visit the consultation page on the DECC website for more information on the Directive and details of how to respond
